March the 29th!
We'd gone out for food. It's a bit fuzzy. I'm not sure what happened.
She died.
But it was all a bit weird. She was still about giving out some orders.
Told me we hadn't paid for the food and said to make sure the boys didn't fight.
Even after they're dead, they're still keeping us right
I remember taking my phone out to message her 'Where you at?' but i didn't want that to be the last ever message i sent her, which is super weird because it's the last message i sent a best friend of mine, which remains single grey ticked on our whatsapp chat, before he died.
Anyway, it was one of those dreams you wake up from and you're not sure if it was real or not. I reached round and felt for her, heard her breathing and realised it was all just a nightmare.
She said in the morning she thought i was trying to get some action but it was still dark and far too early and here's me just checking if she's still alive
But i was wide awake and thinking about it. Or maybe i'd fallen back asleep and was dreaming about it again, not entirely sure.
But the one thing i couldn't stop going over in my head, whether thinking or dreaming was the fact if she wasn't here, she was never going to see the man i'm working to become.
All the goals, plans and my future personal growth was going to be without her.
And i want you to sit with that for a while.
If anyone you loved was to pass on without you showing them who you are still yet to become...
Or indeed, if you were to take your last breath tonight, with some of your song still to sing...
How would you feel?
Listen, stop taking time for granted. That last breath will come.
What if it comes before you've got your shit together? Before you've shown the world who you really are?
It's time to stop drifting. It's time to start building the man. The father.
Nothing will ever be worse off because you committed to your own self mastery.
