One of our guys asked me if depression is contagious. His wife has been depressed for years and he's struggling now, too.
I've said forever, well, since i started the journey of self mastery, depression isn't what the opposition want you to believe it is.
Sure, it can drive you to end your life, it's a fucking horrible thing.
It's not the illness they would like you to think it is.
There's no test for it. It's a label the doc gives you, pops you on some pills, pats you on the back and sends you on your way.
So, is it contagious?
Well, his wife didn't sneeze on him and pass it on, did she
But there's a i heard years ago and you can insert whichever thing you like...
If you hang about with 5 millionaires, you'll likely become the 6th.
If you hang about with 5 druggies, you'll likely become the 6th.
Because the power of your environment is everything!
So if your spouse is struggling with depression, and has been for years, you'll likely suffer too, in some form.
Now, what if it's you suffering?
Well, here's something you've maybe never heard before...
You create the depression so you can create the opposite.
Now, in my experience, there's 3 types of people who hear that sentence.
1- Triggered, wants to argue with me and won't accept it.
2- Triggered but deep down knows there's something to it.
3- Is desperate for help.
I'm confident in what i'm saying here because i've seen things with my own eyes.
Guys struggling for years, ready to end it all, yet turn it around and build for themselves a massive business.
Guys standing on the edge of cliffs ready to end it all, go on to completely change their story.
The thing most guys are missing is a purpose.
They get stuck in a rut, where the weight of the world is excruciating. Hiding from doing the inner work, using drink, drugs, porn, whatever it maybe, to numb and escape the pain.
A life spending far too much time on things they don't value. Unmet needs, unappreciated, unresolved traumas.
And then on top of that, a belief they have an illness, so it's not really their fault.
It gives all your power away if you believe you're not in control.
I've also seen people argue so badly for their story, it's obvious they don't want to get better.
'Oh but it's different for me', and 'you don't know what i've been through'.
C'mon man!
It's time to take this shit seriously.
It's time to create a future you can get excited about.
You deserve it!
