Last one for now - Daily Habit #6
See it all the time on Facebook.
Booked a holiday - So excited.
Posts about looking forward to booked holiday Every.Single.Day
Holiday comes round - Even more excited.
Actually on the holiday - Life doesn't get any better.
Return home from holiday - Life has ended.
Weeks of moping about wishing they were back on said holiday. Depressed!
Eventually books another holiday - Cycle starts all over again. Can't wait to escape!
I remember reading a quote about designing a life you don't have to escape from!
You see that in action when a similar story to the one above is acted out on a weekly basis. Depressed on Monday, getting more excited towards Friday. Blutard on Saturday. Dying on Sunday.
Repeat!
The 2 above are just simple examples of goal setting and what they do for you. It's something to look forward to.
So what goals are you setting and working towards?
Start a business?
Learn a new language?
Move to a new country and live by the beach?
Dream a bit here. What do you really want out of life? Be honest with yourself. Regardless of how mad it seems. Write it all down. When you focus on it you'll be amazed at what happens.
You'll have a new sense of excitement. Every day.
Everyone has things they'd love to do but for a lot of people, it's just a pipe dream. Won't ever happen as they don't set a plan for it.
Don't talk yourself out of it either. And keep it to yourself. Once you tell people, they'll shit all over it.
Happy goal setting!
