Taking 100% responsibility is a non negotiable

Jun 13

Action packed weekend with these 2. Beach, ice cream & a bit of diy demolition!

There was also a bad accident not far from the house on Sunday. Praying everyone is safe. For everything else there’s insurance.

Got me thinking about a letter I received around 2008 or so when I’d got a new car. The insurance company sent out the documents and on the envelope in huge letters…

NEVER ADMIT FAULT!

Terrible advice.

I know in the world of insurance they’ll find any way they can to weasel their way out of paying but it doesn’t sit right with me.

If it’s my fault I’ll be the first to put my hand up and admit so.

That’s why I pay for insurance.

So I called them up and cancelled it and told them why.

I fully understand all companies are probably the same but plastering it all over the envelope was a poor touch, I felt.

Many men are the same though, can’t put their hand up and take fault.

It’s always something or someone else’s fault.

I’ve heard it all.

Wife’s fault, boss’s fault, kid’s fault, weather’s fault, government’s fault, friend’s fault…

And so on.

Come at me with your problems and I’ll show you how YOU can fix it…

If you can do one thing!

Take responsibility 👊🏽

If it’s to be, it’s up to me and all that.
